| PROFILE: CHARLES MAHER |
...there's a massive 12-ft. wide, six-foot tall, four-canvas depiction of a fish, an ornamental Koi, over the mantle. It overpowers the other art in the room, which takes some doing. The other art includes Charlie's own large triptych of a Mercedes (Midsummer Dream), photos and paintings of musicians by Charlie and some of his friends, sculptures and other furnishings that will never whiff the stale air of the "decorative arts" department at Walmart...

"2010, is my 25th year as a full-time artist. Art has been my sole source of income, and I've become used to "not knowing" when a sale will occur or a payment is to be received. That takes some adjustment! I've come to appreciate the unpredictable nature of being an artist and earning my living this way... "

| The 16th annual AFAS Art Show at the Amelia Island Concours |
2011 is the 16th consecutive showing by the members of the Automotive Fine Arts Society at the Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance in northern Florida. The show features the latest works by member painters and sculptors from around the world. Poster for the 2011 Concours is by Dennis Brown.

After more than 30 years at Meadow Brook Hall on the campus of Oakland University, the Concours
d'Elegance of America will relocate to The Inn at St John's in Plymouth, Michigan. Poster artist for the 2011 inaugural event is Jay Koka.
